General legislation
The Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing (Prevention) Act (Wwft) became effective on 1 August 2008. This Act has replaced the Provision of Services (Identification) Act (Wid) and the Disclosure of Unusual Transactions (Financial Services) Act (Wet MOT), making it easier for entities that fall under this legislation to gain insight into their obligations.
